What is n8n?
n8n is a workflow automation platform for technical teams. It lets users build workflows and AI agents visually on a canvas, add code where needed, and connect to more than 500 integrations, with custom API connections for anything else.
Use cases listed on the site include building AI agents, RAG, IT and security operations, lead automation, CRM enrichment and backend prototyping. A library of over 10,000 workflow templates is available, and an MCP option lets users build and update workflows from inside an AI app.
n8n can be run hosted by n8n or self-hosted. Pricing is based on monthly workflow executions rather than steps: Starter is listed at 20 EUR per month billed annually for 2.5K executions, with Pro, Business and Enterprise tiers above it. A Community Edition is available on GitHub.
